Had orientation at my new company today and I just have to say that it is a true relief to now be working in an internationally recognized, foreign-owned, English training school. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, the environment was great, and I could feel the excitement from all the other teachers, whose first experience in China began yesterday.. waiting to start something new and to explore the big city for the first time.

Our offices are facebook-esque, google-esque (if you were ask me to describe how cool they are). There’s a wall for rock-climbing (short, but maybe used to relieve stress?! idk), areas padded with cushions to take off your shoes and relax for meetings or just chill, blackboard pillars that people can use to draw on, sweet lounge rooms, awesome interior design.. and the list goes on.

I’m excited to be one of the 3 new teachers for the brand new addition of online classes now being offered from Shanghai. The other two locations are in Bali and South Africa. Possible location transfers after a year? I hope I don’t like this job that much! I really do miss home! But we shall see! Another year, another chance to take more steps out of my comfort zone! :)
